Teri van Aalst

Hello, I'm Teri van Aalst, a wine professional originally from South Australia.  My journey in the wine industry began at 18, starting in the cellar doors of McLaren Vale. I later joined Penfolds, where I specialised in hosting ultra premium tastings. Later, transitioning to the e-commerce sector, I served as an account manager for Vivino Australia, connecting with winery owners and wine merchants nationwide to grow sales and promote their wines. After completing my WSET 2 and 3 certifications, I embarked on studying for my WSET Diploma. When COVID-19 hit, my Dutch husband and I relocated to the Netherlands to explore Europe and what it had to offer so a couple of years. There, I immersed myself in wine writing, contributing to Dutch wine publications and reporting on my experiences across Europe. Finding my passion in wine journalism, I launched my own business. Now returning to Australia, I am dedicated to wine writing, focusing on industry insights, latest developments, projects, and trends.
